Step into the world of funk, film, and flyness at ADAMA’s Players Ball—a cinematic celebration of Black culture, style, and sound. Happening on Saturday, June 21 The Tara Theater!
This year, we’re throwing it back with a double feature screening of the cult classics Dolemite and Coffy—two icons that defined an era of Black cinema. But this isn’t just a movie night. It’s a full-on celebration of Black joy, creativity, and community.
Before the screenings, join us for a pre-show party with live DJs, curated cocktails, and good vibes all around. Costumes are highly encouraged—we’ll be crowning the best-dressed Playa and Playette of the night.
In partnership with the National Black Radio Hall of Fame, this year’s event also pays tribute to the legends of Black radio who shaped the soundtracks of our lives. Special guest DJs will guide us through the eras, honoring the disc jockeys whose voices and vibes paved the way.
Whether you’re coming solo or with your crew, the Players Ball is where culture, cinema, and celebration collide. Don’t miss it.
